John Lister is a British freelance writer with 18 years' experience in the professional wrestling field, writing for fanzines, websites and newsstand magazines. He has also written about wrestling for national newspapers including The Guardian and the Sun Online website.

He is the author of two books, Slamthology and Turning The Tables: The Story of Extreme Championship Wrestling. His non-wrestling work includes six years as spokesman for Plain English Campaign, a pressure group working to make public communication clearer.
