**Tonight the ‘Smackdown' and ECW TV tapings take place in Memphis, Tennessee at the FedEx Forum. The only thing announced tonight for the show is Edge's ‘Cutting Edge' segment with The Undertaker as his guest. The Undertaker will be defending the World Title in an Elimination Chamber Match at the pay per view. There are many different directions they can go on and it seems the WWE has done a very good job this year of mapping out that direction with the seeds being planted for the top matches and I think the build for this year's show is going to be a very solid effort by the company.
**TMZ has more news involving last week's arrest of Shane ‘Hurricane' Helms. The police report states that Helms was found to be carrying a single white soma pill on him when he was arrested. Helms stated he had a prescription for the pill though he was unable to produce it the morning of the arrest. No charges were filed by the authorities for the possession of the pill. Helms is not scheduled for the TV tapings tonight as he was pulled from both TV and this past Sunday's ‘Royal Rumble'.
**In case you missed ‘Raw'
last night the main event for ‘Elimination Chamber' on February 21st in St. Louis
will be:
*Sheamus Vs Randy Orton Vs
John Cena Vs Kofi Kingston Vs Ted DiBiase Vs Triple H for the WWE Title in an ‘Elimination
Chamber Match'
**The following matches
were taped for WWE ‘Superstars' last night in Nashville:
*Kelly Kelly & Eve
Torres Vs Alicia Fox & Katie Lee Birchill
*Carlito Vs Evan Bourne
**Anyone else wondering what happened to the Maryse Vs Gail Kim match last night? They did the backstage segment and it was never mentioned again during the show. I assume we will get the match at next week's TV tapings.
**Next week's ‘Raw' in Lafayette, Louisiana will be headlined by Triple H & Shawn Michaels Vs CM Punk & Luke Gallows Vs Big Show & The Miz for the Tag Titles and will be hosted by NASCAR driver Carl Edwards.
**The February 9th WWE ‘Smackdown' and ECW TV tapings have been moved from New Orleans, Louisiana to Baton Rouge, Louisiana as the city of New Orleans will be holding a parade for the New Orleans Saints regardless of whether they win or lose the Super Bowl this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. The parade would conflict with the TV tapings as I assume they parade would end at the New Orleans Arena, where the tapings were scheduled to take place. The WWE will be moving the date to May 28th and will be honoring all tickets that were purchased for next Tuesday's event at that show.
**Vince Russo's book ‘Rope Opera: How WCW Killed Vince Russo' will be released by ECW Press on March 1st.
**Eric Bischoff his Twitter account today:
Sorry to disappoint all of you
who are expecting heat between Russo and I.
Actually enjoy working with him so far. Ed and Matt too.
**The Honky Tonk Man (Wayne
Ferris) has posted the following open letter to WWE EVP of Talent Relations
John Laurinaitis regarding his negotiations to enter the WWE Hall of Fame this
year:
To John Laurinaitis - 2nd February 2010
HTM would like to clear a few things concerning his declining of the HOF offer from WWE. First
John Laurinaitis the head of Talent Relations for WWE treated me with the
utmost respect. He dealt with me as a first class gentleman and what we in the
business call "one of the boys." John was up front with me from day one.
He has a difficult job as a middle man trying to negotiate for the final say in
everything that happens in the company. The final say comes down to Vince McMahon.
Can you imagine the number of phone calls John has to make on his day off or
the number of calls he receives on a day off from Vince.
From all of us at HTM we want to say we were out of place to infer that John
Laurinatis was behind any bait and switch scheme with HTM.
We say thank you John for trying to get HTM into the HOF.

**PWInsider.com reports that Dragon Gate USA is/was considering legal action
**Davey Richards has posted the following statement regarding his recent contract signing with Ring of Honor and leaving both EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA effective immediately:
Evolve..
As im sure many of you already know with the dealings going on between me and
some other companies.
Alot has been posted and what not and ill let people choose to believe what
they want to believe.
The only couple of things about the situation I would like to comment on are:
1. I cant fight someone elses war any longer.
2. The idea I used someone as leverage for a better money deal is sad and just
plain wrong. There is no money in indy wrestling!
3. Even though I am no longer a part of Evolve wrestling, there is still some
tremendous talent there that is every bit as good as me. Please conitinue to
support them by supporting Evolve.
In closing, I would like to say that ROH is home, and its good to be home.
**Speaking of Dragon Gate
USA, their next pay per view debuts March 5th and will be called ‘Fearless'
with the following lineup:

*The Young Bucks Vs Naruki
Doi & Masato Yoshino Vs Shingo & Yamato
*Masaaki Mochizuki Vs
Davey Richards for the FIP Heavyweight Title
*Jimmy Jacobs Vs Brian
Kendrick
*Super Crazy & CIMA Vs
Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw
*Gran Akuma Vs TJP (T.J
Perkins)
**The theme song for the ‘Elimination Chamber' pay per view will be ‘Rise Up' by Cypress Hill.

LAW MMA UPDATE
**There is an expected to change forthcoming for this Saturday's UFC 109 card in Las Vegas. A preliminary heavyweight bout between Mustapha Al-Turk and the debuting Rolles Gracie Jr. is in jeopardy after it was reported by MMAJunkie.com that Al-Turk will be removed from the card due to ‘non injury related issues' and will be replaced by Joey Beltran, who just signed a four fight deal with the UFC.
**The Saturday night Strikeforce ‘Miami' card did 517,000 viewers on Showtime in the U.S., which is a big number for the promotion (I would attribute most of that to the interest in Herschel Walker going into that card). The UFC 107 replay on Spike did a 1.6 rating and 2.2 million viewers.
**Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner Nate Diaz will be moving up to 170 pounds for his next bout scheduled for March 27th in Newark, New Jersey at UFC 111 against Rory Markham. Diaz is coming off of a split decision loss to Gray Maynard at the January 11th UFC Fight Night event in Fairfax, Virginia - a decision that brother Nick Diaz was openly critical about on this past Saturday's Strikeforce broadcast stating that his brother won that fight.
**UFC President Dana White
has nose surgery this week to remove scar tissue for a deviated septum and he's
posted a picture.
